- Great price.

An AED is a device used to provide a shock of electricity to somebody in cardiac arrest (having a heart attack). Defibrillation is the definitive treatment. Knowing how to use an AED is an important skill for firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, nurses, doctors and general public.

AED Sim gives people a chance to see, hear and interact with an AED. If you have ever been curious about how one operates now is your chance.

The built-in scenario editor lets you create a custom scenario or it can generate a random scenario for you. Combine an iPhone or iPad and AED Sim and youʼve got an inexpensive realistic training environment for practicing CPR. No costly AED trainers needed.

Pros and cons of AED Sim app for iPhone and iPad

AED Sim app good for

Well done, this app is very realistic! Was hast du erwartet? Ein Spaßprogramm? Das ist ein Simulator.
Thank you for creating an awesome app that I can actually use for teaching first aid classes... I will make this a mandatory download for candidates in future courses. Making electrodes / pads or adapting other ones to fit an iPod is relatively easy, so its perfect!
Does this meet the 2010 CPR guidelines or will there be an update soon?
Can you upgrade the app so that when it gives instructions to begin CPR you can hear a tone at a rate of 100bpm? I use this in my CPR classes and encourage my students to download it. From what I can tell as a generic, yes it it is within the 2010 guidelines.
We used this app in our Paramedic course and found it easier to setup scenarios then the trainer AEDs that we were supplied with. The user interface and sound effects are accurate and realistic. Nice to see it updated for iOS 7 and 8 and sweet having a universal app for iPad.

Some bad moments

I have been searching the app store for months trying every AED app out there and this by far is the most realistic app out there.
I use this app when Im teaching a CPR class to only a few people in the home setting. It works perfectly.
After having an aed break right before a weeks worth of classes in the middle of Challis, ID I found this app and was eternally grateful. Was also able to easily hook the LP 500 training pads to my iPhone. Thanks creator. Couldnt be happier.
Purchased this as a training aid for CPR classes. What the description fails to mention is that there is no sound. Fine as a free app for self review, not worth paying for.
App does almost everything I need. Would like to have a metronome sound (100 bpm) for students to follow along during the CPR portion.
